Privacy Notice

sync.tvguitar.com lets users browse public sync songs and, when logged in, publish or update songs they own. This notice explains what information is used when you visit or use the service.

Controller

The data controller for this site is the site owner, reachable at ufkfir@icloud.com.

What data is used

Supabase handles email and password authentication. The app server stores song sync data, user profile defaults, publishing metadata, and operational logs needed to run and protect the service.

Why data is processed

Personal data is processed to provide account access, save user preferences, publish and maintain song sync entries, secure the service, respond to support requests, and understand site usage when optional analytics consent is given.

Legal bases

Processing is based on performance of a contract when the service is needed to run your account and content, legitimate interests for security and service administration, and consent for optional analytics technologies.

Profile defaults

Shortcut mappings, auto-fullscreen behavior, helper visibility, and other non-song defaults are stored in the authenticated user profile so they can follow the user across sessions.

Published songs

Published songs can remain visible after account deletion or closure so the public practice library can stay available. If you publish a song, you should only include material you have the right to share.

Analytics and consent

The site uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics only after you accept optional cookies. If you choose essential-only storage, analytics tags do not load. When enabled, analytics may collect device, browser, page view, and interaction data to help measure site usage and improve the service.

Processors and recipients

Service providers that help operate the site may process data on the owner's behalf, including Supabase for authentication and Google services for analytics when consent has been granted. Data may also be disclosed if required by law or to protect the service.

International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside your country. Where GDPR applies, the site owner should rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism for those providers, such as an adequacy decision or contractual safeguards made available by the provider.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, legal, or record-keeping purposes. Consent choices are stored in your browser. Analytics data retention follows the settings configured in the relevant Google service.

Cookies and local storage

Essential browser storage is used for sessions, local draft recovery, theme preference, and consent choices. Optional analytics storage is only enabled after consent.

Your rights

Where GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability where applicable. You can request account deletion, ask questions about your data, contact the site owner using the email above, and change optional analytics consent at any time through Cookie settings.

Complaints

If you believe your personal data has been handled unlawfully and GDPR applies to you, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
